Exploring Ørestad Together - by Welcome Ambassadors

We’re happy to invite you to the next International Café in Ørestad — a welcoming space for newcomers, long-time residents, and anyone looking to connect and feel more at home in the city

Our third International Café theme is: “Exploring Ørestad Together”
• Meet your Ørestad Ambassadors and connect with fellow participants.
• Discover Ørestad. Hear about the area’s history, local stories and fun facts. If the weather allows, join us for a guided walk through the heart of the area.

Children & Language: Helping Your Child Thrive in Denmark

Language is closely connected to children’s sense of well-being, confidence and belonging – and plays a central role in how they thrive socially, emotionally, and in their daily lives.

Multilingual children have a unique gift – and a complex language journey. How do children learn new languages – and how do they maintain their mother tongue(s)? What stages does your child go through in the process? And what should you do if your child refuses to use a specific language?

The Danish Healthcare System

The Danish healthcare system is universal. Therefore, all residents in Denmark (citizens holding a CPR number) have access to the public healthcare system, and most services are free.

The primary focus of this event will be the Danish healthcare system. You will receive an overview of its structure, basic principles, and how to navigate it.

It's important to note that this event is not a medical seminar. Instead, it's designed to provide you with practical and general insights into the Danish healthcare system, specifically tailored for international residents in Denmark.
