Rentals & Cooperative Housing
Join an informative event where we will walk you through the Danish housing market and highlight essential factors to consider when renting or purchasing cooperative housing. We will also cover different financing options and explain how the Rent Control Board can support you as a tenant.
The event consists of two parts:
- Rentals & Cooperative Housing with Danske Bank: An online tutorial that you can watch at your own pace at a time convenient for you.
- Rent Control in Denmark with the Rent Control Board: A live webinar including a live Questions & Answers Session on 23 October 2025 at 17.00-18.30.
The following topics will be covered:
- Renting: Gain insights into expected costs and important factors to keep in mind when renting, along with practical tips for tenants.
- Cooperative housing: Discover Denmark’s unique housing type, along with tips for finding cooperative housing. We will also discuss financing options, typical costs, relevant legislation and the steps involved in purchasing cooperative housing.
- Rent Control Board: Learn about housing legislation and the Rent Control Board, its processes and how to submit a case. Furthermore, we will explain the differences between professional and non-professional landlords, what rent control is and how to determine if your property is subject to it.
This event is organised in collaboration with the Rent Control Board in the City of Copenhagen.
