TIP 5: GET A BIKE
Copenhagen – the city of cyclists – has more than 375 km of bike lanes with streets and intersections designed specifically for cyclists. Some of the bike lanes are called green cycling paths. They run mostly along parks and the harbour front, safely away from the trafficked roads. Copenhagen and many cities in Greater Copenhagen continuously invest in improving the conditions for cyclists. Are you planning on living outside of Copenhagen while working in the city? A network of cycle superhighways connect the city with direct, comfortable and safe paths. Do you have children, and would you like to teach them to bike safely in a fun way? Make sure to check out the Danish Cyclists’ Federation’s 20 Cycling Games. Before heading out on your bike, make sure to get to know the traffic rules.
