General guidance

Moving to a new country can be challenging, and we’re here to help make your transition to Denmark as smooth as possible.

As an addition to the existing registration services, International House Copenhagen now also offers general guidance as of 18 November 2024.

It will be experienced staff from the City of Copenhagen, who will provide you with general guidance and point you to relevant sources, where you can explore and learn more on topics such as

  • job, career and language schools
  • digital services, housing and tax
  • healthcare and childcare
  • culture, sports and leisure
  • paperwork and practicalities.

The general guidance is open to all international Copenhageners and does not require an appointment – you just drop in and take a number within the opening hours of International House Copenhagen. Please note, however, that the guidance does not involve individual case processing or CPR registration, which you can read more about here.

If you are new to Copenhagen, you are also invited to join our bi-monthly welcome events, where we take a closer look at the most essential steps of your new journey in Denmark through an informal yet informative evening. You can find the next welcome event here.
