General guidance

Moving to a new country can be challenging, and we are here to help make your transition to Denmark as smooth as possible - also when it comes to your professional life.

If you are looking for guidance specifically related to job and career, you are welcome to make use of our guidance at two locations.

The guidance is provided by experienced staff from the City of Copenhagen, who can offer practical information and point you to relevant sources where you can explore and learn more on topics such as

  • knowledge about the Danish job market
  • help to start your job search in Denmark
  • info on specific job and career programmes offered by Københavns Erhvervshus.

The general guidance is open to all international Copenhageners and offered as a drop-in service, which means that an appointment is not required - you just drop in and take a number. Please note, however, that the guidance does not involve individual case processing or CPR registration.

Opening hours of general guidance

For current opening hours, including information about holiday hours and temporary closures, please visit this page.

If you are new to Copenhagen, you are also invited to join our quarterly welcome event 'Welcome to Copenhagen', where we take a closer look at the most essential steps of your new journey in Denmark through an informal yet informative evening. You can find the next welcome event here.
