International Café – by Welcome Ambassadors
In Denmark, Easter isn’t just a holiday, it’s a feeling.
Join us at Ørestad Library for an evening filled with laughter, colours, creativity, and a touch of Danish Easter tradition.
This special edition of our Community Café is hosted by the Ørestad Welcome Ambassadors and invites both internationals and locals to come together for conversation, connection, and a hyggelig break in the middle of the week.
Together, we will write funny Easter letters with delightfully terrible rhymes on colourful flower patterns, carefully blow and decorate eggs (almost without breaking them!), and create bunny-shaped candy boxes that somehow empty very quickly. The evening will also include a light-hearted quiz where you can learn more about Danish Easter traditions.
As always at our Community Café, you’ll have the chance to meet others living in Copenhagen, exchange stories and experiences, and discover what’s happening in the area. We provide light snacks and simple activities to spark conversation in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, you can join at your own pace.
A little messy, very hyggeligt, and 100% Easter the Danish way.
Everyone is welcome - newcomers, long-time residents, families, and anyone curious about the community around them.
About the project
Meet the International Ambassadors of Ørestad, a group of 8 volunteer ambassadors – both internationals and Danes – brought together by shared belief in community, inclusion, and the power of meaningful connection.
Together with the Copenhagen City Administration, team is creating welcoming spaces where newcomers and long-time residents can meet, talk, and grow together. Whether you’re new to Denmark or simply looking to expand your social circle, our events are open to everyone.
Let’s make Copenhagen feel more like home – together
